Where do i get performance brake pads

Hi guys
I am from Milton Ontario i need to get some performance pads for my Brz. Last time i went to a track on stock pads and it wasnt great . Long time ago in Europe i was using Ferodo pads and they were great but never really shop here in Canada. Any other recommendation for pads maybe and where is the best place to get them?
Also where do i get things like Omp or Sparco ?

In Canada, FT86Motorsports is famous one.

As for brake pads. Ferodo is good, Hawke is good too, but my recommendation is Winmax. If you're doing track than W5 or W6 is very good.

I don't recommend going through FT86motorsport at all.

Since you're from Milton, I strongly suggest you go to/call JRP(Johnston research and performance). They will be able to help you with a lot of questions and are a race shop, so getting parts is no issue.

I haven't tried ft86motorsports yet. Care to share your experience(s)?

I've dealt with JRP a lot. They're usually quite good but you really need to either call or go in to find out what they have and pricing as the website is not user friendly.

Talking with one of the guys last night sounds like burning rubber tire and speed could be another good source.

You are going to want better fluid as well. What an instructor would tell you is to get DOT 4 600 rated brake fluid.

I've dealt with FT86MS over the past year with no negative comments.
That said my current order is 13 business days in process due to a part coming from Blox in Cali.

I just picked up a replacement tire at Burning Rubber. They're enthisiasts and eagar to help. Not sure of their parts offerings, just tires. I met them at the Pada driving school (TMP) in April and receive a 10% discount. Their tire prices are VERY competitive. Best go their or email for inquires. Their phone access is brutal.

No experience with Johnson Research other than looking at their useless website. Drive past them twice a day during commute. Must drop in.

Best way to deal with JRP is phone or Facebook unfortunately.

Who are these burning rubber guys though? I assume if they are recommended by PADA they must be somewhat decent.

I've also purchased from ft86motorsports.com several times with no real issues. They've been upfront with me about expected delays and offered reasonable alternatives if I didn't want to wait although there have been cases where I've had to e-mail them for status updates on products that I've ordered that were overdue but they always replied quickly to my inquiries with good info.

The only negative interaction I've had with them was with the owner Sylvain basically having a bad attitude after I asked for a quote on a product and I decided to get the product directly from the manufacturer because it was going to be a bit cheaper for me that way. It wasn't a serious issue or anything but I remember it and it tempers my expectations when doing business with them but I've bought several things before and after that and I haven't had a bad experience otherwise.

I see Touge tuning has Ferodo listed

https://tougetuning.com/product-cate...es/brake-pads/

I’ve dealt with Ft86 Motorsports without issue. The others mentioned I hear are good too. There’s also NV Auto.

I just go into my local guy first and see what he can do for me. I get most of my consumables there now even if it’s a couple of bucks more. There’s likely someone local that can get you Hawk pads. HP+ are used by at lot of people. I use DTC 30 and have no complaints.

Come see me at Burning Rubber Tire and Speed or give us a call. I'd be happy to help find the right pad for your application.

We can get pretty much anything. If you are looking for some serious track pads we run the G-loc R12's on most of our race cars including my supercharged brz and have had great success with them. The Stoptech 309's are also a great choice if you are looking for a less aggressive but good dual duty street/track pad.

Stay away from ft86motorsport, had bad experience.

Limitlessmotorsport in mississauga is my go to local store. JRP is also a good store, been there couple of times.

Considering the generally good feedback for them in this thread could you go into some detail about why you would recommend looking elsewhere?
