What Battery for the Key Fob?

Pretty much down to no distance left in the remote unlock function. Anyone know what battery I need to source for the Key Fob?

I am assuming that it will snap apart from the top ( I see a small indent)and no reprogramming will be required from the dealer?

Thanks as usual.

As Cool said. Just pop it open and throw the new one in. I did mine last year. Took about 20 seconds. CTC on Wellington has the battery.

Are those the same as CR2016 ?

The owners manual for a my16 & my17 both show CR2016.

If you're talking about the fob for keyless entry, they actually gave you a tool for this. Take the physical key out of the fob. Hidden underneath the key's head there's a slot in the top of the fob. The tip of the key is actually made to fit into that slot. Stick it in and twist, and it will pop right open.

The board inside may be loose, so do it over a table in case it falls out. You just stick it right back in if it does. It only fits in there one way.

It changed. The earlier ones were different. OP didn't specify what year he has, so I think we were all assuming from his join date that he was driving an early one that uses the CR1632.

I'm just out of sorts, because I went down to the farm berry stand today and found out the local red raspberry season is OVER! - :mad0260:

NOPE, as I just found out after I bought the 1632!

First FRS delivered in London June 2012. Should be early no?

Hey, driving my FR-S out through the countryside to "pick" berries, that are already picked, sitting in flats in the shade is a far cry from what I used to do.

Wanna hear a story? I thought not, but, I'm gonna tell it anyway.

During August, back on the farm, was wild blackberry season. After the chores were done, and in the heat of the day, I would make two pales out of gallon coffee cans and use baling wire for handles.

I then would head to the back 40, right at the edge of where the woods had been cleared for cropping and the swampy area started, to gather berries. Yes, it was hot and humid and the berry bushes were very thorny, but I was tough, except for the mosquitos, gnats and sweat bees biting me and the hornets wanting to sting me.

After a couple of hours I would have the pales filled with berries and head for the cool of the maple shaded barnyard. I would grab a large bowl from the kitchen, fill it with berries, stop by the milk house and skim off some cream from the guernsey cow milk, pour over the berries, sit back under a shade tree and eat about a gallon of them. Life was good - :happyanim:

THE END

Now let me understand this.

What dark evil resides beyond the edge of woods..? Deep into it's swampy gaze, and maze like interior, have you ever explored it to find something? Did you ever wonder what lay beyond, into the darkness?

Was there creature? Was there man? Or was it the very swamp itself, which would consume all man?
