Smells like teen transmission fluid?

Nah but for real I started my car this morning and it smelt like straight transmission fluid. I drive a manual. Also I didn’t drive it yesterday but the back it down the driveway and didn’t have this problem. I also didn’t smell it until I started it up.

Did you check to see if there's a leak?

With no fluid out out, it's less dangerous
Figure it out now, entertain us
I feel interested and quite curious

How many miles are on your car? Is there any other issues with the car?

Here is my TOB with the sleeve/cover broken off and the fluid was missing from the bearing. There was a smell coming from the transmission area when this was leaking before it finally broke.

43351 miles. And normal wear. Normal gear grinding like all the twins. I only smelt it this morning and it was gone after driving to my first job. I’ve probably driven 35 miles today and still no smells. I just thought it was weird.

I do however drive my car fairly hard, but I don’t notice any problems honestly.

You have low miles, so I doubt it is the TOB, but just pay attention to it. Other smells that can smell like oil is a belt slipping/burning, rubber/plastic burning against the manifold/engine, oil dripping on your exhaust system, possibly coolant hitting the exhaust system (possibly normal overflow/drainage from hot weather) and driving behavior like slipping the clutch by depressing it slightly and giving too much gas.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] good shit man. I’m going to ride with my foreman the rest of the week. I’ll look at it this weekend when I have time.

I'm afraid to learn how your libido might have caused this poor fella's car to smell like transmission fluid...
