WeAreLikeWise shifter with extension

Anyone have this set up for their 86/brz?
What do you think of it? and does it get hot and cold easily?

I like the design and idea of it, but not sure if it is any good for daily use/ some hard&fast shifts sometimes.

Seems like a simple shifter extension would do the same thing and a heck of lot cheaper. If you're in it just for the looks, then that's up to you.

IMO it looks:

A: UGLY

B: Functionally well made.

korhun 08-08-2019 12:00 PM

I also think it is ugly. But I might really consider buying one, it if the car was

So it's useless IMO

IMO manual shifting (if not sequential like in the video of my previous post) is better with a shorter shifter.

I don't have an opinion on how it "feels to shift" with this. (for all I know it could feel Awesome, or awesomely bad! - IDK...)

What I am saying is: The craftsmanship looks good. The way it adjusts looks like it wouldn't slip and the coating looks to be of good quality.

Also, those pics, upon closer inspection: are photo-shopped. The shift boot doesn't look like that on either the MT or AT.

If you like it, that's really all that matters.

this is straight off their website:

Products are intended for show use only.

Shift knobs sold separately. View our range here.

An adapter is not required to attach a Likewise shift knob to the Suzuka.

The Suzuka is only compatible with Likewise shift knobs.
seems like a real d!ck of a shifter knob.

i can't speak for anyone else, but i'd never buy shift knob for show use only.

and it says it's 6061 aluminum. it's going to be very sensitive to temperature.

if you want a tall, motorsports oriented shifter, go for the IRP imo....this will have an excessively long throw, and the added leverage will add to the percieved flex in the stock shifter.

Who's bright idea was it to make nice sharp points at the end of the shaft? There's a product liability issue right there.

I have a likewise shifter setup in my FRS. I got the daytona knob with the rod stewart extension, and all I can say is that it's my favorite part of the interior. It gets hot if it sits in direct sunlight but it cools off pretty quickly. The build quality is top notch too, couldnt be better
