D78 connector needed

I am on the hunt for a D78 connector for a 2017+ wire harness. This connects to the clock spring and is found on the dash wire harness.

How did you find this? Also, do you know what contacts that connector uses?

This is how I track down connectors and terminal information from the factory wiring diagrams.

I am also in need of the D78 connector. How do I find out what the pins are used specifically for on that connector on a Toyota 86? I looked on multiple wiring diagrams and on the repair manual and all I can get is the connector number which is D78 and the pins numbered from 1-14. Reason being is that I'm doing a 2017 steering wheel/clockspring conversion so I can get steering wheel controls. My 2013 uses an equivalent D51 12 pin connector vs the D78 14 pin connector on the 2017+ that plugs in from the dash harness to the clockspring. Both connectors do the same thing but the 14 pin uses extra pins for the steering wheel controls.

The manual I linked to has instructions starting on page 20 on how to use the manual to find the connector housing and then with the housing number how to find the part number for the pins/sockets that are listed at the end of the manual.

will that page also help me find out what pins go to what in terms of their use?
I'm trying to convert a d51 12 pin spiral cable connector from a 2013 into a d78 spiral cable connector from a 2017 by depinning my d51 connector and using the d78 connector to plug into the 2017 clock spring.
