Sound: Borla Touring Axle-Back (11937) + Blitz SUS filter
 

I just installed those and shot a video, in case anyone's curious how that sounds (of course there's loads of videos out there of this setup, but why not one more? lol)

I got the same axle back on my 86 and I love it. Insane how much better it sounds going from the factory muffler to a slightly smaller Borla muffler. The tips also fill out the bumper cut outs perfectly.

Only thing that surprised me is how damn loud the cold start is now. :bonk:

Didn't surprise me because I had Works ABM on my 2015. It had a very similar, loud cold start.. I like it :)

That sounds great. Might have to add that to my new BRZ.


How was the install?

Very easy, its just an axle back muffler which is like 2 bolts if remember correctly. The hangers are probably the worst part...

Sounds nice. Similar to Corsa, a more "mature" exhaust note. 300$ less but the Corsa is a full catback.

Yup hangers are a pain! Get yourself tire lube used by shops to install tires onto rims. That will help a great deal with hangers
