How to get to DI computer?

I need to check if the ground bolt is securely tight. How would someone who has never picked up a wrench in their life get to the DI computer? What components would I have to remove? The space looks tight and I doubt I can get my hands on the third bolt.

Make friends with someone who has. Why do you need to check it? They don't just magically come loose.

Had a SC installed. DI Ecu had to be removed to fit on the manifold and some new hoses. Friend who helped install it is 50 miles away :/.

I'd suggest you call your friend and ask him to talk you through it.

Open the hood. Its bolted to the left side of the motor. CBF finding a pic to demonstrate but its a ECU looking box with a bunch of wires going to it.

Better have some dough set aside AND be willing to learn fast. Study the service manuals in my sig line.

Since you've never held a wrench before, I would say road trip or make a new friend who's closer, otherwise get your hands on a 1/4" drive ratchet with a short, 10 mm socket and go to work.

You'll have to feel your way onto the bolt, just remember, lefty loosey, righty tighty. Another suggestion is to secure a long piece of string to the handle of the ratchet with electrical tape because chances are, you're going to drop it.

The first pic is on one of the top bolts just to show the length of the socket needed and the second pic is the money shot.

Before you tighten a single screw on your car, while you're getting some tools, also grab some plain steel 6 millimeter screws and nuts. These will be to practice getting the feel for what's tight enough and what's too tight. Tighten them together until you strip them.

I guarantee that you will be tempted to over-tighten those screws. Typical bad habit even for people who claim to be experienced. Fight that urge. It takes less than you think.
