Back in a BRZ!

I had a 2015 WRB which I loved. Moved to VT.. lots of gravel, including my long, steep driveway. Sold it ~3 years ago and missed it ever since.
Yesterday, I got a a brand new, left-over 2018 Limited in silver. Instead of going home, ended up doing 120 miles on twisty back roads. Love how this car make me feel. Glad to be back :D

Street parking or did you figure out how to get it up the driveway?

DarkPira7e 07-24-2019 05:14 PM

Congratulations! Where in VT are you?

LOL.. "street" is a gravel road. I had the driveway resurfaced just few days ago so it's in great shape, but I'll need to stay on top of it.. can't let it get bad.
BRZ will live in the garage and will never see Winter/salt :)

^^ Both of you guys should keep an eye out for a white 13 BRZ with NY plates and at least one bike on the hitch rack. I'm up there 5 or 6 times between April and late September and run the Rt 7 and 100 corridors when I'm working.

"Keep an eye out" as in be careful or give a wave?

Hitch rack and "gravitylover".. I take it you DH at Killington? Killington is the reason we moved to VT. We used to come up nearly every Summer weekend to DH and snowboard in the Winter from NJ. Now we're 25 minutes out :D

I know quite a few fun, lesser traveled roads in VT.. would be happy to show the way. Of course there's always a chance you'll bend up behind someone going 20 below limit.. that's classic VT lol

No watch out, VT has loads of great breweries so I make sudden moves into the parking lots when I don't know they're coming up until the last second ;)

Something like that yup  I've been exploring VT roads for 35 years since I went to school at Castleton. I've found some real winners! Yeah 20 under behind a brine truck on Rt 100 from the north side of the Gulf all the way to Rt 4 SUCKED! I tasted salt for days every time I got near the car. Have you ridden the Slate Valley Trails yet? I'll hit you up next time I'm in town :w00t:

Never even heard of those! I'll have to check them out. My go-to singletrack is Pine Hill in Rutland. My favorite is Ascutney.

Congrats.. and lots of good luck with her. I did something similar when I bought my car. I bought it 1200 miles away and drove the country for a week before getting home. She had 4400 miles when I finally brought the car home. Lol

Welcome back! I would gladly do the same! Silver is a great choice!
