This is beautiful on so many levels. Art on wheels.

Battery will be 5 times more energy dense? Mmmm....that's quite a crystal ball they're using there.

Such futuristic concept cars are generally optimistic and sometimes just fictional, but the future of batteries will likely improve greatly. We really have been only putting big money into battery technology for a short time, relatively.

Battery density keeps improving. 5 times density is only a matter of time.

This thing is ugly AF.

So they took the Benz Vision and changed the grill? Looks identical.

Yea similar. I have used that car on GT6.

EAGLE5 07-27-2019 01:24 AM

The grill is the similar part. Then the front wheel arches. The rest is pretty different as these things go.

Not really, chemistry doesn't allow that. The highest theoretical energy density chemistry is aluminum ion, and they're only 2.5 times better than lithium ion. It's unlikely electric cars will ever match the range of a Prius, but they'll probably get to 300-400 miles a charge for similar money to a gasoline car and the ability to charge in a few minutes.

Auto buttock cupping on the seats? Awesome...

It seems like there are a lot of things that could improve battery density, or the capacity per pound. The materials that hold a charge could change, but so could the housings and the amount of solvent/fluid. The link I posted is full of exciting new technologies that potentially could make batteries lighter, more powerful and last longer while being safer and more sustainable.
