Brown rubber thing to be removed from coilover?

I couldnt find an answer on the forum(s) or in the manual. On my Tein Flex Z coils theres a brown rubber thing between the shock and the spring that looks to be partially falling off:

Do i remove it? Keep it on? Thanks in advanced.

Eh, leave it on. My coilovers have a few of these on multiple parts of the spring. I just figured it was some sort of protection or noise reduction of some sort.

I don't have that on my FLZ's

It's just a rubber insulator in case the coils touch and make an interesting noise. You can slip it back on if possible or throw it away.
