Scosche touchscreen A/C controller

Since the factory HVAC controls are not yet available for purchase, I found a interesting touchscreen alternative from Scosche. A rep from Scosche informed me that an A/C kit will be made available in 2-3 months, but they also said it could be pushed back further if it's not within Scosche standards.

Features:
  • Full color touchscreen A/C controller
  • Configurable for single and dual climate controls
  • Plugs directly into factory A/C harness
  • Painted and textured to match factory panels
  • Fits with double DIN or single DIN stereos
Example: Chevy Camaro dash kit w/ touch screen A/C controls

never knew these were made, pretty cool but not sure about cost effectiveness?

I was searching for AC controls and their website came up on Google search. Anyone with first hand experiences with this A/C controller?

If it looked good and was under $300 I would probably buy it.

Hell 2 da yeah! How much is it gonna cost?

ImAwesome 08-02-2012 06:38 PM

that set-up in the camaro with the dash panel and harness is $400

CBThib307 08-02-2012 06:41 PM

As long as it looks right I would get it. 400$ doesn't seem too bad.

We have installed them in the new Camaro's and Mustangs. They actually look much better than the Metra alternatives and work just fine.

This looks awesome, I would get it.

This would look pretty good with a tablet/stereo swap if you could mount them end to end. kind of a Tesla "lite" setup. Makes getting the BRZ Premium less painful as the screen is 10x more slick than the Limited Dual climate controls.

I agree with you. I can't wait till it comes out

This looks great! Interested in price, when it will be available, will it work seamlessly with our cars, reliability and quality of the screen. More info!!

Any idea if this is still on schedule to be released in the next month or so?

zoomzoomers 09-21-2012 07:40 PM

Not for me. There are certain controls/buttons in a car that I want tactile feel to. HVAC controls are one of them.
