ROM Verification
 

Hi,

I have 2017 BRZ M/T. I have pulled the ROM and found the Cal ID = ZA1JK00R.

My car is Right Hand Drive, M/T with black plastic intake manifold. I guess my ROM should be similar to ZA1JK00G but I have to verify that.

How can I do the ROM verification? Right now I can't open it in Rom Raider due to unrecognizable Cal ID.

Any help or suggestion or how-to will be highly appreciated.

rom you pasted here, is a pure k00R rom,
if you do not have definition, then you can force flash a K00G, either with ecutek,


or with Romraider using a OTS K00R rom, that is actually a k00g rom

Can you elaborate some more?

Rom Raider is for editing. Ecuflash is for flashing.

Are you saying it is safe to flash K00G ROM into my K00R-based ECU?

If you have Tactrix/ecuflash then keep a copy of this rom.
Then you can flash back the K00R rom if you run into problems.


Its very likely like 99% that you can use K00G rom as a substitute for the K00R

the K00G is fully defined for romraider and ecuflash and has logging for ecuflash

Sorry to necro but I’m in a similar situation. How did you get your stock rom file?

He probably used ecuflash with tactrix
