I pulled my sunvisor down this morning and the base snapped in half. Has this happened to anyone else? No real point to this thread just seeing if this is common. I live in southern california so it isn't a heat age problem

Not to mine.

Next time, I suggest you be more gentle - ;)

Maybe try JP Weld it back together?

Get another one out of a junk yard?

Buy a new one at a dealership?

I really don't know what happened. Pulled normally, and snap! Very strange

I'm looking around at part outs. The dealer wants $100 for one. I'll try my gluing/plastic welding skills before doing that.

“Pilled normally”? When was the last time you got some? That can affect how hard you pull on stuff!

I just bought a pair online for $48 each. Hopefully they show up... Local dealer wanted $80 each.

This has happened to me. Grabbed a used one of eBay for a good price.

I don't think glue would hold due to the stress put on it while "snapping" into position. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

The visors came yesterday. Can’t beat $111 delivered for two!

My driver side sun visor snapped in the cold....I gently pulled it down and it just snapped....this was a year or ago or so.... Now today my passenger side snapped off.... I feel like this is will be a thing...

I just replaced mine a few weeks ago. Mine actually broke.
$80, and a week later got a brand new one.
That simple.
