Will never, ever, ever, be seen again. Never. Ever.
They have gone in a direction that just does not include performance cars.
Slow news week so the clickbaits are down to making shit up.

It would be fun for you to be proven wrong, but I do agree.

At least if it were true maybe Subaru would maybe finally be forced to make a better STi.

They are making a new STi. It will be built on the global platform and is supposed to be out soon. Whether it is "better" or not remains to be seen of course.

Like the article implied if we see a new Evo it will probably be along the lines of the new Eclipse!

A total marketing travesty!!!!!!

If it's anything like the new eclipse I bet you it'd sell better than previous Evo's.

*Introducing the new Evolutionary Cross Lancer* . . .

Anyone want to play the 'who would Mitsubishi have to partner with in 10 years to pull this off' game?

If Mitsubishi partnered with Volkswagen they could work together to develop an all electric, AWD golf r/evolution (remove lancer from name). It would weigh approximately 4200lb, generate only 900ftlb of torque at 1rpm in the Mitsubishi while the VW version would make a whopping 1013ftlb. The Evo would cost $38k and the Golf $43k. They would all be made by a factory in Mexico.

Then we could all complain about how it's too heavy, slow, expensive, and ugly again. Oh and we will lament about it looking like a VW inside as opposed to the old Evo which had a true Mitsubishi interior.

Mitsubishi, Nissan-Renault alliance..

I read it on the internets.

Mitsubishi and Subaru collaboration.

It will be advertised as "the evolution of a STI".

Will come from factory crashed and with broken ringlands.

You will be able to ID the owners, they will be the guys in pit lanes and carparks punching themselves in the face.

A friend of mine said it best... "EVOs and STIs just look like two bulls trying to milk each other."

That would be a line jerk because you need more players for it to be a circle jerk.
