Tein MonoFlex

Took a few pictures to show the height and camber with the Tein MonoFlex on. These were installed by Fulcrum Suspension here in Brisbane. The lowest point of the car now sits at 108mm. The lowest legal ride height here in Brisbane, Australia is 100mm for those of you overseas.

Wow I thought it would look lower than that.

Is it possible to lower it even more? And For the rear did it come with camber plates?

Need to see some pics during the daytime.

How's the handling?

Nice, I do love the MonoFlex! Have you had a chance to drive it around? If so, how is the ride quality, noises, handling etc.. :)

Thanks,
Rick

Yes, it can be wound down quite a lot more. I'm just not able to do that here without the police having a field day with the car due to our modification rules.

The handling is fantastic, the car is as flat as a pancake during corners, and I am able to confidently carry more speed through the twisties as well  Combined with the progressive nature of the stock rubber, it makes for a very enjoyable drive.

The ride quality is, of course, not as smooth as the stock sussy. I do not find it spine-raping uncomfortable though. You're just more aware of the quality of the surface you are driving over. ie, if it's a goddamn shit road, you're going to know about it. Minor bumps are really not a problem. Speed bumps are a different story, holy shit they make you really aware just how stiff things are when you go over them.

I should make it noted though, that this ride quality and handling is with the Teins' stock rates of 8k/8k front/rear. I will be doing some testing on various rates. I'm thinking about setting them to 5-6k front and 7k rear for daily driving.

I had the privillage to ride in with Kenno today and I must say the monoflex is impressive. Ride is only slightly harder than stock and it's not harsh or uncomfortable at all. We picked a busy street with poor quality road on purpose and I must say I'm impressed with the ride.

Ps. Thanks for your time today Kenno.

Thanks for the review, I'll be installing my Tein Monoflex after winter and I absolutely cannot wait. Also, what dampenning settings are you running on for track vs street set-up for these coil overs? I had BC Racing Coilovers and those were "spine-raping" especially in Canadian roads...
