Enkei Raijin Matte Black Staggered
Hi Guys.
I am from Australia and I have been looking around the forums for a while and I am expecting my Silver 86 in October. I want to get my wheels sorted now. I am getting Enkei Raijin Matte Black in 18" and after looking at the forums I am thinking about the fitment below. Fronts: 18x8 +45 Rears: 18x8 +35 I will be running 225/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres. I would like to know what you think? opinions? Should I not do this?. When running the same offset the front tends to stick out more so I thought that by running the +35 on the rears it will square it up. I will be lowering on coilovers between 1-2 inches. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers Camo |
i am in the same position as you
i love the enkei raijin matt black but couldn't find the weights, have you? for 10mm difference in offset i wouldn't bother, stops you rotating any wheels without taking tyres off, a little lowering will make it look great... i see you are in sydney, pm 86drift, he will be able to look after you for enkei wheels, i am getting some through him |
18x8 +45 your looking at around 8.5kg a rim --- Still a lot lighter than a lot of rims out there
yeah I guess I am trying to go for the look which is why I wanted to put the rear out some more. I get I wouldn't be able to rotate but I dunno..... I will still be using my 16's for trackdays etc. and plan on getting a decent set semis for them. so I might get cheaper low resistance tyres so I can afford replacing them more often |
20.3lbs per wheel according to tirerack.com
Not my cup of tea, but still pretty light for an 18x8 so even with the extra weight from the tyre (if any), it will more than be made up for with the extra width |
came back to post 20.3 but LZ beat me to it...
won't be lowering my car for 2 reasons (1 is money) straight away, wonder if the matt black will look OK at std height |
should be a pretty good fit

I'm going staggered offset also on the TSW Nurburgring, same sizes as yours. I think the 10mm is worth it to keep the rears from being so sunken.
