Cost of PPF

I was quoted 375 for just the front bumper of the 86. How much did you guys pay? Also is XPEL a good brand?

Xpel and 3M are good quality.

I paid $1100CAD for the bumper, full hood, half fender and mirror caps. That was through the dealer when I bought the car, with a 10 year warranty.

Things to consider, any shop that does PPF on a car with miles will require a paint correction on any panel you want covered. That cost will vary depending on the condition of your paint.

I work in NJ and the place I went to when I got the car still has the same costs listed up as 4 years ago, I was quoted $900 at the time for the "highway package" and that was an earlier version of the xpel product. It definitely looks like you both are getting bargain decent prices not including paint correction if any:

Xpel is an excellent product. Modern paint is thin and brittle thanks to the EPA. Therefore the front of your will be prone to chips, especially if you drive anywhere with lots of semi trucks.

I have it on my front bumper, headlights, front fenders, A-pillars, half roof, and full hood. It’s expensive but worth it cause I drive my BRZ 12k miles annually.

Also, it makes it easier to remove bugs since they are not stuck on paint.

Your installer is the most critical factor in getting a quality install. I found a place that’s been in business for a while and an authorized Xpel dealer.

XPEL is overpriced. There are other competitive films on the market. They are all the same thickness (3M, LLumar/Suntek) 8mill thick.

I would do full hood, full fenders, mirrors, headlights, and full bumper.

I got my M4 fully wrapped with Llumar Plat for $3700 USD 3 months ago. Fully wrapped as in roof, rails, rear bumper, trunk lid, doors..every single painted service. Llumar plat has the best top coat, very smooth and paint like. However 3M has this service contract where if it gets punctured and your paint gets damaged, they will replace the film and repaint the panel within the first 5 years/10 years. However the top coat isn't as smooth as the Llumar Plat.

Oh and LLumar Plat and Suntek Ultra is the same, made by Eastman.

They're all self healing and I would only get the 10 year film.

It's pretty absurd near here, that's only for something that would be more complicated for them.

$375 sounds about right.
A Tesla front bumper alone is $800-$1100
