Different wheels on the prototype

Section 3 of this looks like it has polished lip on black wheels... Not sure if anything else looks much different...

Ya they kinda DO look that way but what I still don't understand is why the wheels seem the same width all the way around

The only concept so far that's had staggered wheels/tires is the FR-S concept. Everything else, including the Subaru framework concept, has been either 215 or 225 wide tires front and back.

If they get the suspension and weight balance right, there's no need for staggered tires.

OH... I just thought that for testing they'd use a staggered setup

The Gs concept was running 245/40 and 275/35 on 19's.

Do u guys think that the G concepts parts will be offered for the FR-S

I stand corrected, however I'll counter slightly by emphasizing that the Gs concept was never really intended to represent the production car straight out of the box.

is that Sachs truck parked next to their garage anyway related to their "more expensive high quality suspension components" ?

ichitaka05 05-25-2011 04:11 PM

Cuz prob it is running different wheels. From my bet, it's same wheels as MkII wheels & prob same tire spec 215/40/18

Hum... that could be true, I know I could stick some Staggered 19's under there and it would look good

Nice...this is the best version of all spy videos yet. And yeah with the pictures right on the back of the truck it's kinda obvious what it carries.:laughabove:

Is it just me or do those tires seem kind of skinny?

Like a 190 width..

Ryephile 05-28-2011 12:06 AM

Great spy video indeed.

IMO the tires look to be of decent width, perhaps 225. They don't look any narrower than 215 to me.

Really?

Mine are 205, and they seem bigger than the ones in the videos... hmmm
