Anyone own the Fujitsubo RM+c Titanium Single-Exit?
 

I've heard a few videos of this exhaust from Japan, but I can't find much information about it in English except for what is on the US distributor's website. Anyone own this exhaust and want to share your thoughts, experiences, and sound clips?

I know several people have bought and posted clips of the Authorize R dual-exit, but the RM+c is only 12.1 pounds, and seems to be possibly the quietest single-exit available. I'd love to cut the weight without sounding like a ricer.

Only a hand of owners have it in the states. IMO, it's due to the price tag of close to 2k+ with shipping and being just a catback. Hopefully someone here has it as I have been waiting to hear a review.

I was almost ready to buy this one from Japan, but in the end I preferred to buy the STI performance axleback. The Fujitsubo RM+C starts from a 60mm exhaust diameter and around the middle of the midpipe changes to 70mm. I would say that it is a pure competition focused exhaust with stronger performance at the higher rev area. If it is used in a purely street car or a weekend fun and occasional race track car, then it will make it even worse given the nature of the engine and the torque dip in the middle range.

The weight advantage is not that much important if you don't make a complete weight reduction, because you remove this weight from the rear and low part of the car. It is much better to remove weight from the top of the car (e.g. roof) which lowers the cog, or the front of the car which makes the front-to-rear weight distribution better.

Thanks. I am primarily track focused with this car and am slowly but surely doing a complete build. I am planning to do full CF body, cage, and dimple die weight reduction next year probably, among other more standard weight reduction items. Right now it’s still in “street” form but is primarily a weekend track car that I can drive to the track rather than trailer.


I’m hoping somebody has this exhaust on the forums. If not I may be one of the first (or few) to cry once buy once and go for it.
