Series 1.0

Hello all,

I was just quite surprised to see no topics about the Series 1.0. I don't see this car ANYWHERE where I live except for the one owned by myself (obvi). Curious to hear your comments on the situation. Thanks! :search:

Saw one yesterday on a highway

There's nobody talking about it now because it's an old model, and it wasn't really different enough from the base model to warrant a lot of discussion in the first place. What were you hoping to see?

I see plenty of them here in SoCal! I'd love to have one and the headlights + body kit/color are all a great combo IMO!

long unknown fact that the RS 2.0 was the superior release model.

Jones12012 06-01-2019 11:49 AM

Yeah I've never seen a series 2.0 in person but I think it's just eh. I always loved the way that the white scion looked so the grey on the series 2.0 had the same effect. I also don't like the interior. C'mon man yellow is the wave.

Most RS 1.0's have been snatched up by collectors and are now garage queens. I've seen a few in MD, but they are quite rare. The quad tip exhaust is what sets this one apart from other 86's...dat sexy ass :)

There's one in my area. I spoke to him once. We go to the same grocery store. I understand that they're special, but it's a yellow car. Yellow is kind of a love-it-or-hate it color. The exact shade is super critical. If you like that particular shade of yellow and all the special little bits they've added then it's totally worth it.

In person, they just scream "look at me". That yellow on that car owns the road for attention. With nice black wheels, it's tits.
There's one in particular that I constantly see and every time I see it I think that's the only car I'd actually sell mine to get.

Only by collectors who are morons. They're not going to be worth significantly more than a base model and will still take 50 to 60 years to appreciate in value.

I'm always amazed at the '90's Japanese car prices on https://bringatrailer.com
