I don't have an automatic twin... I like to drive and enjoy developing skills. My wife's LuxoSUBarges have automatics. Yes, pretty much everyone is aware that automatic cars can be told what gear to place themselves in. Most automatic cars until recently had some form of "P R N D 3 2 1" by the lever. I have never been near, much less in or driven, an automatic 86, so PLEASE forgive my incredible ignorance of what their stick looks like. I saw a guy grab a stick, move it, and the car shifted gears. Strangely enough, that made me think of a stick shift. Weird, I know. Go figure. I guess I'm just really stupid. There can't possibly be any other explanation. Thank you so much for showing me the light.
Yeah, I'm in a pissy frame of mind, and yes, you're not helping. My car has been in and out of the dealership since late January when I had the recall done, and it's been there for more than the last two months straight.. new engine, new engine problems, direct injection seal problems (they didn't replace the seals when they reinstalled them!!?!!), found out today they ordered the wrong seals and it'll be ANOTHER week before I get the car, haven't had a loaner for weeks, none available.. blah blah blah. Soooo... yeah... I'm not in a good frame of mind for someone to act all superior 'cause I made what I thought was just a fun comment re/ the transmission in the ad (knowing full well that they don't put an MT in that car).
Sooo... enjoy feeling better about yourself and puffing yourself up by denigrating others. After you've digested that little morsel, bite me.
