Fender Strips, Thoughts?

I was messing around with some painters tape when I was dipping my emblems, and since I REALLY wanted a Challenger and had seen some with the fender stripes, I decided to lay some tape down. What do you guys think of this but in red? Good, bad, tacky???

I think it would look good... but isnt that a corvette thing??

I think they really started with Peter Brock on the old Cobras and Datsuns. But could be wrong.

This doesn't belong on this car (imo) but if you really wanna try it, use some color plasti-dip.

If you think it looks bad at the end, just peel it off. If you like it, you can peel it off and paint it for real.

It's your car and you can do whatever you want to it

A buddy at work has orange ones on his GT500 (it's blue). Definitely gives the car a different look. I say go for it!

google image search "fender stripes" - there are some interesting examples.

you know what might be cool? the red and white stripe of the TRD logo on the fender...

I wanted to try that on my cars for a few years because I thought it looked sporty on the Corvette Grand Sport. I also thought it was a Corvette GS thing only but recently I've started seeing new Dodge Challengers and Chargers with it. Now I think its a domestic thing and that gives me a hard time picturing my little Japanese car with those stripes especially against the signature WRB.

If I had an FR-S I'd rock it using colors from the new retro high tech two-tone scheme Scion has going.

hah look.. there it is!

on the first pic, see the visor on the windshield? i think just those red and white stripes of the TRD logo would be cool - unless you had a white or red car.. lol.

looks soo bad it doesn't deserve 2 threads IMO

This NSX hereby grants permission for import cars to rock fender stripes so long as they remain on the right side. They will continue to be worn on the left for domestics. d:

I knew this owner back when he first got his NSX. He makes/sells overlays so I guess he was experimenting. This was before he upgraded to GT-Rs/Vipers. @@

THIS LOOKS GREAT!

Has potential, needs to be more of an angle to flow with the lines of the car imo
