Rattling noise from exhaust?

Just recently changed out my over pipe and front pipe. I already have in India header and Invidia exhaust in the car and it was completely fine just not loud enough haha. The over pipe and front pipe I put in are also both invidia, and the front pipe is cat-less. It’s been making this rattling noise for a few days now and I just got it checked at a shop and they found a leak but the sound is still there so the mechanic told me that it could be because it is cat-less and is causing detonation which sounds similar to an exhaust leak? I was wondering if there could be anything done to prevent the noise? Or should I just get a catted front pipe?

Well, if you're fully catless there could definitely be some rasp. I would check the clearance from the header to overpipe or just check under there for any loose bolts. It is possible your overpipe might be hitting the heat-shield.

I see, will getting a catted front pipe fix the rasp?

For the rasp I would just get a small resonator cut/welded in the front pipe, and, if the mid pipe doesn't have one, get a resonator in there too.

Resonators will not restrict flow, they will just cut down the tone not the volume.

As for the rattle, I would say it isn't installed correctly, maybe missing a hanger?

Put the car on stands and give it a good shake.

Hopefully it's not bad bends at the overpipe, that would suck.

Great! Thanks!
