P0302, p219a, p0352, p119f, used car woes.

Just bought my second used 13 frs after my first one was totalled out after a side impact hit. This one is same year, same mileage (41k), appears stock, no problem on test drive, price was right, everything was perfect...until I sign for everything at the VW dealer (used car from FL, dealer is in IL) and go to leave. Turn car over and CEL comes on before I leave the lot with a rough idle, but seems to drive ok. Their service center was closed at this point and I basically drove it home. Sprayed the MAF with cleaner and cel light still on. Over the next few days it seems the traction light comes on then goes off after a bit randomly, but cel remains on (sometimes CEL only, sometimes both). Next day I get the codes ran at autozone:

P0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected
P219A Bank 1 air-fuel ratio imbalance
P0352 Ignition coil B primary/Secondary Circuit
P119F
P219A
P119F
P219A

Spoke with dealer and they said they would "make it right" and take a look at it but I have to wait a week before they can give me a loaner car. I'm also concerned since they are a VW dealer so their knowledge on subaru probably isnt the strongest. At this point i'm kind of seeking other options on DIY fixes in case they give me the run around and end up doing nothing.

Carfax states car was 1 owner, lived in florida most of its life. Car appears to have been unmodified/stock but idk if someone swapped back to stock before selling. Car is very early production run manufacture date of 03/12 so from what i've read it isnt part of the valve spring recall. I've put close to 500 miles on it so far with regular driving and havent heard any knocking.

Thanks for reading and any insight/telling me that i'm dumb for not getting it inspected before buying is appreciated/likely warranted :sigh:

06/07/19. VW dealer I bought it from spoke with a few toyota dealers and a subaru specialty shop, they state it is probably an issue caused by the recall for the valve springs. Dealer offered to void sale and give me my money back and i’m now happily into a 2016 halo with 18k miles. Thank you everyone who posted with ideas.

Did it go through the J02 recall service?

To be honest, i'm not sure, my vin started with 7003XX and i think affected vin for the FRS was 000XXX-00XXXX. I checked with toyota and the other website to check with my vin and it said it didnt have any open recall, but I didnt know if that meant it didnt have any available and the recall was done already, or it had no recalls available now or in the past.

I couldnt really find any solid info for the FRS, it was mainly for the BRZ (brz master race lol) and on the thread that listed affected vins it was only showing from toyota's japanese website.

Check the plug on cylinder 2 coil is plugg in all ghey way, maybe remove and reconnect plug.

The other codes are fueling codes.

Can you log fuel trims particularly long term fuel trim with your scanner.

If fuel trims way positive like 15% positive cgeck fcgeck for exhaust leaks, also cgeck for intake leaks especially hoses under intake manifold

If fuel trims way negitive like -25% then the previous owner may have left it tuned on e85, dont laugh its happend before

I dont have a reader, I was planning on getting an oft to go with the eventual UEL header but wanted to get the cel sorted.

What would I need to log fuel trims?

Also im assuming this wasnt owned by a "modder" since the last oil change was done at jiffy lube (oil drain plug had blue marker marked and I was told that was a jiffy lube thing)

Hmm, mine has been triggering P0219 and 119 codes a lot since the j02 recall. Would you be able to tell if anything is out of the ordinary from this freeze frame that triggered a P0219?

Oft will log ecu parameyers like fuel trims. But best to get current issues sorted before tuning or modding

Salesman contacted me today and said they have a loaner available for me and to drop the car off this thursday so hopefully they take care of this. I just want this car to not be a lemon and not need a new engine.
