Pop bang and cracle

So im deciding if -7 or -10 has the same loudness when it comes to popping your exhaust. And if i get tired i wanted to still have the pops but thats able to save gas. So lowering the number makes it louder?

I don't understand the desire for noise for noise's sake.

WTF?

Just put a "switch" in the ECU feed, then from the cabin you could shut it off and suddenly turn the ignition back on and have a big bang out of the exhaust.

Switch on top of the gear lever.. it'd be sooo cool...

Was driving yesterday next a Mini Cooper that had this noise "tuned" into it. It was both painful to listen to and probably for the car as bad as it sounded.
99.99% of anybody around would have thought it was about to explode, wasn't roadworthy and felt bad for the owner as it sounded embarrassing.
I wonder if people who do this realize there is a very small subset of only other boys/young men who appreciate it? Or is that the motivation here....

Honestly had this for my car with e85 when I had a muffler delete, lasted about a week before I realized it was incredibly dumb. If you look back in the original thread you see a couple of my datalogs and screenshots for it. Then I got the nameless axleback and it was perfect with UEL, no fake tuned in popping off throttle. You will not save gas as long as you start retarding the ignition tables like that and it only kills your muffler packing if you still have it.

i don't mind a little crackle when a motor is being pushed to the absolute limits, but if a low-rev 1-2 shift is doing it in traffic, it's stupid.

it's like anything else. someone will find something they sorta like, and then take it far past the extremes.
