Engine oil leak driver side

So I've been trying to figure out for months where this leak is coming from. It's not too major as to make my oil go down but it does get annoying when the engine is hot and you can smell oil burning. I'm not sure if it's the timing chain cover or that plastic piece where a sensor is connected. Anyone know the name or part # of this piece?

Note: No I can not take it in for warranty because there are no dealerships that sell this car where I live so all the work has to come out of me.

I was going to say a bit normal but that's a hell of a lot. By chance did you do an oil change recently?

No it's def not from an oil change. I've had this issue ever since I got the car in September 2018 but just haven't been able to find out where it's coming from. I just had to clean the area and wait for it to accumulate again.

What's throwing me off is why its all over the place, the hose, the cover, the sensor. Do you have access to a lift?

Judging by the unevenness of that sealant I’d guess the valve cover has been off. No telling where it’s from, could just be from the cam sensor?

Isn't that sealant supposed to be grey?

I have the same issue. I took it in for the recall thinking it was the timing cover and would be resealed and fixed after. It's not, make me think it's coming from somewhere else. Oil level doesn't budge, just annoying and dirty.

I had the exact same issue. I ended up taking it in and getting all the seals on the front of the engine replaced. It seems to have fixed the issue so far, had the work done a good 2 months ago.

Same here, got the leak fixed during the recall, it was from the timing cover.

The seals on that timing cover and cam carrier/cover are SLOPPY.

Wash it and let it idle, see where the oil initially comes out from. When everything's oily it's hard to tell what was oily first.
