Toms Tail Lights low intensity brake light

Hi guys,

So i bought these tail lights with massive sale, knowing they had an issue.
Can you help me figure out what could this be?

You can see from the pictures how dramatically different the intensity is.

Its not an issue on the car side because previous tail lights worked perfectly.
also all other light functions such as, night lighting, turnsignals, hazards work fine. its just brake light that has an issue. none of the LEDs are out you can see from the pic.

Do you guys think its worth opening? also anyone have any experience with LED? is this bad wires?

i've got experience with led's. generally that's going to either be a bad power/ground connection, or a bad driver within the housing.

if you're wiling to open them up, post pictures of the insides, with clear shots of any chips that power the led's.

Yep, i wanna fix this. I saw vid of man opening frs tail lights with a soldering pen. ill do a lil research how to properly open it and put it back together.
