SomeOne's Little blue

Hi y'all,

August 2017 I bought a new 2017 BRZ. I already own a 2016 STi that I love very much, such an amazing car, a beast.

I'm from a place where winter lasts forever or almost, north of Quebec province (state). So I use the STi during this season.

The goal was to find a little fun summer car to replace the Harley; Sell the Harley then buy a car, but since I'm a compulsive buyer, I sold the bear skin before killing the beast, bought the car before selling the bike...

I love Subaru, so I went with the BRZ. I tried to sell the bike in 2018, no luck. I will try again next month.

So! About the BRZ! Fun little car to drive. The only problem like most owner knows, the famous dip a low rpm, other than that I like it.

The mods so far are;

- Catback Exhaust from Lachute Performance.
- 11mm Wheel Conversion Spacers Kit (5x100 --> 5x114.5).
- Gold JDM STi Wheels 17x8. Offset 53. Bolt Pattern: 5x114.5.
- Toyo Tires Proxes R1R 235/40R17.
- Tinted windows.

I thought and still thinking a lot about future upgrades, I'm at 2 options now, excluding but still in my mind, the "don't do anything/no mods" option:

- Lachute Performance UEL Header (when available).
- Lachute Performance over pipe.
- Lachute Performance catted front pipe.
- K&N Typhoon Air Intake System. (not sure about this one...)
- Pro tuned on Dyno with an Ecutek license.

This is +/- 4800$(CND) all include (QC+CAN taxes+labor,etc.).

OR

- Lachute Performance Turbo kit.
- Pro tuned on Dyno with an Ecutek license.

This is +/- 12000$(CND) all include (QC+CAN taxes+labor,etc.).

...

Since the car only has +/-18500 km (+/-11495 miles), both options void the warranty. The turbo kit will ask more to the engine, I guess it has more chance to fail than only option 1, which only allow better flow of the exhaust gases.

Anyhow, for now, I don't have the money for either, so I will continue dreaming and looking at options :)

Here's a video I did today: GoPro Attached to the Rear Bumper

More about this project soon I hope!

Take care, drive safe ;)
