Open Flash Custom E-Tune turn around time
 

I’ve had a custom e-tune before from shiv and went pretty quickly. This time around I heard from him once and haven’t heard back since Tuesday. I’ve received no tune yet and my emails are going unanswered as well as my phone calls.

Anyone know if this is usual?

It's not unheard of for shiv and them to stop communicating for a bit, it's actually been kind of common in my experience even though I haven't gotten an e-tune from them. Dare I say it's because of all the vehicle skews they are trying to expand into, or shiv may just be busy with personal stuff? There could be a whole bunch of reasons, but yes, I would try contacting through email, phone and FB one more time during the week see if they respond.

I totally understand being busy. Just need to tell me that it will be a few days or a week or something to keep the line of communication going. My car has been down for a week waiting on my e-tune (that I paid for) and I have no clue when I’ll hear when I can drive it again.

That’s just not right.

When i had him do my old custom e-tune around this time last year, i purchased end of December 2017, they where just finalizing the v4 tunes for 17 autos, so i said i would wait, took about 6 weeks before they got released. Once we got to tuning, it took 3+ weeks after sending my logs to get each revision. and i got 6 revisions. 7 tunes total. Finished up sometime in June, so a good 4+ months to tune an NA setup. The tune was pretty good, just very slow turn around time, and little to no responses to emails unless it was on the tune revision email once every 3+ weeks. Just my personal experience. I think the OF guys have kind of moved away from this platform, they haven't really been active in over a year on the forums.

To contrast i had DT do a custom tune and got a response in 24-48 hours. and i had Mike from xero limit do my last custom tune and would sometimes send me 2 revisions in 1 day. The first few revisions took 24hours, then once we got to fine tuning the WOT portion, Id get one at 5AM, do a log on the way to work and he would send me another one later that day and i could do another log on the way home.

I do not have that kind of time to wait lol.

Once the tune was done. It was a good tune. They know what they are doing. Just they are extremely busy and have moved onto other platforms. So it takes a while.

Sounds about on par with my experience.
Had I known it was going to take 2 months to tune, I would have looked at other options.
But the tune is good.

Shiv knows what he’s doing no doubt. Thankfully he has finally gotten back to me so the ball is rolling.

Until he goes mia for 3 weeks again. Hopefully he’ll have the time and desire to get you taken care of in a timely manner. But history would predict otherwise.

why don't you go with steve99 or wayne, they are faster and even better, it's not like shiv is the only one in the world, if you want to finance him a second ferrari then do what you want :P
