Rear Seats?
The big question for me is if this car will be practical enough to DD.
1: Will the rear seats fit 2 fullzise humans comfortably? 2: Do the rear seats fold down? 3: Will there be a liftback option? thoughts? |
i really hope it's a liftback and the rear seats fold down. i drive an s2k and my co-worker drives a tC and the only time i get jealous of his car is when he opens the hatch and puts down the rear seat to fit equipment that i can't fit in mine.

No. They'll fit, but they won't be comfortable. |
By comfortable, I mean if i can fit anyone there who has legs.
My TT has about an inch of legroom in the back. |
1) probably not, but if they can fit for short trips around town (20-30 minutes) then that would be good enough for me.
2) not sure where they would fold down, if anything, i'm thinking there will be a center pass-through 3) i hope not. i think that would just add weight and decrease stiffness, even if only slightly -Mike |
Doesn't matter much to me. I'm not buying this car for anyone but myself. I have Rex if I need to carry people and stuff.

The TT can fit a crapload of stuff in the hatch when the seats are down, but the backseats are too small for anyone to fit because of the legroom. I've had 4 people in it before a few times and it was interesting. For me, the FT needs to be a realistic 4seater for short trips. No kids yet but by the time they roll out i'm hoping to have some sort of 4door too. Plus kids take like 8 years to grow out of a 2+2. |
