18 engine in 14 BRZ ?
Are their any issues with putting a 18 engine in a 14 BRZ?

Nope. The engine itself is a bit more reinforced but no power is to be gained. Could be worth it if going FI but wouldn't beat a purpose built engine even in that application.

I’m looking for a replacement for a blown engine. It’s easier to find a low mileage 17+ engine. They cost the same as high mileage 13-16. So that was the appeal. I guess it’s time for a built engine anyway.
