OFT or Ecutek w/ Delicious Tunning?

Hi Guys im currently running OFT stage 2 e85 but i was wondering your opinions on whether its worth going with Ecutek w/ Delicious Tunning. Given that going with Ecutek w/ Delicious Tunning would cost an extra $500(Given i sell my oft for around 450-500). Which one is better for your buck and also which one do you guys generally perfer? (THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BASH ANY BRANDS) Thanks Ahead of Time!

You'll get some nifty features like flat foot shift, auto rev match, etc etc but they're kinda gimmicky and not necessary. If you're just changing tunes, I say it's not worth the additional cost.

It becomes worthwhile if you plan to get a proper flex fuel kit, or plan go to FI sometime in the future.

OFT is fine for a basic UEL header.
I only went Ecutek to mate up with ACE headers.

Customer service wise OFT was always slow to respond.
Delicious Tuning was great experience, new tunes usually in 24-48hrs and they will tune it as many times as it takes to get right. Mine took 7 times to get perfect.

Unless you use the map switching and want the extra features of ecutek like launch flat foot shift and auto blip.

The tune you can achieve on an naturally aspirated car with oft tactrix or ecutek is the same.

Different if your boosted

What’s an Ace Header? Sorry I have literally no idea lol. And does it give better performance than a normal UEL or EL Header?

Best header money can buy. Basically take the best EL and UEL and combine them. But you got to pay to play. And need a custom tune or specific ace tune to fully utilize it.

Wow i've never heard of this. Do you have any sound clips how it sounds? And it gives better performance i'd imagine. so it has to come together with an OP im assuming. Damnnnn i just saw the price for one and its $1700, the performance better be way better for that price :o

Yes, ace header is designed with custom overpipe included in set, it's runners continue in overpipe portion and merge only there, this way it got longer overall runners length for exhaust scavenging and specific rpm optimisation, so one can add overpipe price to price of other headers for more apples to apples costs comparison. If deciding on getting ace header, i guess it's worth buying as package from CSG, bundled with Delicious Tuning ace headers specific ecutek tune. One can also consider CS400 one for cheaper one.

It has a good sound, but sound is largely from header-back.
It is the best header on the market. Yes it uses the OP to increase runner length. I got my ACE 250 new for $1350, even more top end vs 350. Hard to find now though.

JDL seems to arguably make the next best headers EL and UEL. Combine JDL's UEL mid range and EL top end power and add another 1-2% on top of that, and you have an ACE 350 header. Lots of arguments and comparisons on the topic all over the forums. Cost to HP ratio is actually comparable to most headers. If staying NA its worth it to maximize the gains.

but honestly a cheap 7psi turbo setup is what "budget" builders should do IMO. at 7psi could get away with just the turbo kit + tune for about 4,000$ and call it a day, oil cooler if tracking.

A: you're not going to get 4-500 for a used OFT.
B: If you already have an OFT you're going to spend a pretty large amount of money for POTENTIAL gains of like 2% difference.
C: I will say a proper custom tune for your car (whether it be on a dyno or e-tune revisions from delicious) is arguably the best, but if you're just going for off-the-shelf tunes for both, I don't see any real advantage migrating to ecutek.

If you didn't have either, this is more of a conversation, but since you already have an OFT just stay with that and be happy.
