AIT relocation - Bias resistor values - HKS SC - ECUTEK
Hi guys, I wish to relocate AIT from stock intake for a better evalution of temperature (pressure side) and a better timing management when idle or low speed.
I saw that Fensport manage a poor sensor "VE375083 Cambiare" and I prefer AEM 30-2014, more reliable and faster https://www.aemelectronics.com/produ...ure-ait-sensor 30-2014: Air Temp Sensor with 1/8" NPT Male Thread, High Performance DTM-Style Connector, Aluminum Bung, Connector & Pins. The big issue is that for the sensor sold by Fensport is known the right scaling to set in EcuTek table. I asked for the AEM 30-2014 to Ecutek but they haven't the right Bias resistor value. The answer was: " Hi Gian, I'm not entirely sure on what the Bias resistor the BRZ ECU uses but I do know the older Subarus used a 1000ohm Bias so I would suggest trying this scaling initially. Are you using the OEM wiring harness or wiring direct into the ECU?

Scratch that. Saw your photo of the wiring from the MAF sensor. Makes sense.
I'd be willing to bet its 1kOhm. Turn it on with the engine at room temp and that is a good sanity check. But to know for sure wire in a 1k resistor rather than the sensor and measure the voltage. Assuming it's a 5V supply you'll see 2.5V or be able to figure it out if it isn't. If you get stuck I can look through the wiring diagram and help you work out what the ECU is doing. Once you know you can set the ecutek table to suit any sensor you want. |
I would wire to stock wiring, the first two wires you see as Fensport does.
