Edelbrock Supercharger - run less than 1000 miles - Austin TX

$3300 firm - local pickup
Austin, TX

I am selling a used Edelbrock Supercharger kit with the Ecutek tuner. It's a complete kit, with a 3 inch pulley and a boost gauge.

It was on a car that got wrecked from the side, no damage done to the supercharger or engine compartment. I bought it from my buddy after his car got wrecked, but then the valve spring recall hit and I've got a 2013 FRS, so I decided not to install this.

System retails for about $5700 new.

With the 3 inch pulley this setup will make about +100rwhp and +77rwtq, D-Sport Mag did an install article: https://dsportmag.com/the-tech/edelb...r-the-brzfr-s/

Ship to Cali?

srt4evah 03-29-2019 11:29 AM

Not willing to ship, sorry. I don't have the original shipping material, and it's a lot of parts I would not want to ship haphazardly. If you have someone that can pick up local, you can do that, but I don't feel comfortable trying to pack all these parts.

lol. I'll give it a few weeks, if nobody wants it, I'll just install it. I'll need new wheels and tires though...

Don't NEED new wheels and tires. Sure extra grip is cool and all but it's not like you wont have ANY traction. I'm supercharged on stock wheels (and unfortunately tires....yes the oem primacys), can confirm, is fun. Either way, good luck with your sale, someone is bound for happiness.

Thanks, I might just stick with my existing 17x7 MR131's and just upgrade to Michelin PS4s, if I decide to keep it.

I'll give it a few weeks and if no serious buyer comes along, I think I'll just use it myself.

You should advertise on FB marketplace if you're not already, you might get more local interest. If I weren't thousands of miles away I'd consider picking it up.

Thanks, I've got it on a local 86 group and a Texas 86 group, so far just lowballs, people offering payments, the usual, lol.

It was installed on a 2016 automatic, but I don't understand why that matters? None of the parts are OEM parts, it's a full Edelbrock S/C kit.

I remembered there being a change in 2017 (possibly because of the change to R-1234yf refrigerant, not a fact, just a hunch) that required a change by Edelbrock. I asked how much it would cost to convert an older supercharger to be compatible with a 2017 or newer. His screen name starts with "CSG"

...You'd be looking at about ~800 for the updated parts to go from old Edelbrock kit to updated, as well as a few hours in labor. Unless you're mechanically inclined, I recommend you purchase the updated kit from the getgo, unless you have a 13-16 vehicle that doesn't need the updated design.

I asked because if it was mounted on a 2017, then I wouldn't worry at all about fitment. It doesn't help that there wasn't a change in part numbers for either the TIY kit, or the one that came with an Ecutek.

Regardless, if it's a complete/undamaged kit, it's a friggin steal.

The kit was ordered in 2018, not sure what that means, but I'll definitely reach out to Edelbrock and confirm if this is compatible with all model years, thanks.
