how much?

MKIV 08-01-2012 01:26 AM

TBD

That would look infinitely sexier without the FR-S badge and Toyota emblems instead. ;) Oh and the TRD decklid spoiler! :D

As much as I love the work aftermarket companies are doing, I'd be pretty interested if the price was reasonable. I actually like the D-shape inlets!

dunphyjp 08-01-2012 01:44 AM

when you find out the price please let us know! cuz this exhaust is HIGH on my MUST HAVE list! and if this is combined to be a catback or header back piece then its my must have #1... if it's an axel back i just hope it makes a little power or is at least bolt up-able to a higher flow mid pipe...

edit: i know it says catback up top, but lets face it, most times TRD only makes axel backs for Scions... if this is an actual catback then i'll be thrilled!

I'll gather up some more details about this for you all and post it here in a day or two.

I would venture to say that Toyota is committed to this car as a sports car versus the tC which was a sporty compact car. That being said, I'm fairly sure it'll be a full cat-back and not an axel back (looking from the pics).

Still think a test pipe is in order here.. ahem.

Yeah those tips looking amazing! I'm so sick of the silly burned tip ones everyone else seems to be putting out. This one fits the look of the car very well, much better than the jdm TRD exhaust.

+1 for the D-shaped tips! Hope the exhaust is "reasonably" priced.

I'm interested in the power gains. I am debating between the TRD and the Perrin. I know Perrin is doing their research and getting some measurable gains from their exhaust.

What's the part number for this?

MKIV 08-01-2012 11:39 AM

1 Attachment(s)
TRD Performance Exhaust kit (Mid Pipe & Muffler) weight = 33.0 lbs, Take off OE exhaust (Mid Pipe & Muffler) weight = 38.6 lbs, Total weight change = minus -5.6 lbs

MSRP is $999.00

Part num. PTR03-18131

Note: for those of you who like the BRZ type lower diffuser, this tip will fit in very nicely. The bottom shape should compliment that look or a aftermarket one once available.

I'm glad that weight got updated!! Last I saw, it was +7 lbs net weight change!

Looking forward to heading this piece in person!
