Complete noob questions - Wheel/Tire Size
Hi everyone,
I've never bought new wheels for any car - this year, I plan on keeping my winter tires on my stock wheels and buying new wheels and summer tires. So essentially I'll have a summer/winter wheel and tire set. I'm looking at these --> https://www.oakos.com/ENK-3797908035WP.htm My question is, how do I know what size tire will fit onto these wheels? Do I need the center caps for $100 more? My FRS is completely stock suspension, etc. I would like to lower it in the future but for now it will be stock. Do I need spacers, or anything else like that for these wheels? Basically, I'm a complete noob looking for some help understanding before I buy. |

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535 https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58908 For a simple answer, between a 245/40 and a 275/35 sized tire. You don't need a spacer, but you may get rub at full turn lock left and right. Check the links I've posted and reply after reading at least 10 pages worth of posts from each :) The first number in the tire size is width in mm. Second number is the percentage of the width that it is tall. So a 275/65 will be a monster truck tire compared to a 205/65. Ok, read on |
