Hey man, I've been following your build since like forever and I really need your opinion right now. How's the Tomei type 80? More specifically, how's the in cabin noise? Too much drone? Does it get irritating? How loud is it on a scale from 1 - 10? Is it straight pipe loud? In combination with the FT86 Catted Header, does it sound quieter inside the cabin or does it sound worse (more drone)? I ask all this because I'm like on the verge of trading my cat back for one.
PS. I can tolerate loud and some drone, incase you say something like "everyone has different loudness/volume tolerances." lol

The Tomei type 80 in my opinion is the best exhaust on the market for the twins, beautiful sound, no drone, super lightweight (You will shred like i believe it was 30lbs or 25lbs from your car with that exhaust alone) loud probably a 7 out of 10 (without silencer, it comes with a silencer i just dislike the way it looks and never installed it) its not loud unless you drive like a manic or push the car past 4k RPM, Not straight pipe loud, just more loud then stock. Like i stated before, with the combination of the Tomei Type 80 and FT86 Catted UEL header their is no drone, it doesn't sound quieter in the cabin because you are opening up the exhaust so their will be more noise apparent. I used to run a cat back, it was a Injen SES it had a lot of drone and was heavy!!, After buying this exhaust Im never going back to a dual tip catback unless its an AMUSE Powerhouse one.

For the advan's its 18x9.5 +40 with 255/35R18 tires, no rub on KW V3 Coil overs ;)

@JakePoetzel-BRZ

Tired to send this too your PM. But you selected to not receive PM so I just posted my reply here.
I sold that exhaust a long time ago haha, probably like a year and a half ago. I've since switched to a Tomei Type 80 Exhaust which I love. When I had my injen SES exhaust it sounded good really brought out the sound of the car, but I personally hated the drone that the car gained throughout the 3k-4200 rev range which killed the exhaust for me since I daily drive my car. Personally if you plan to go forced induction in the future, you should buy an exhaust that you can keep in the long run. This is why I choose the Tomei Type 80 it sounds awesome N/A and will be an excellent complement to my turbo once it arrives this month :happyanim: If you like the way the injen one sounds then thats the right choice, but i kind of regret buying it cause I was one of the first people to actually upload a sound clip of it so I didn't know about the drone. Just a heads up

interesting. alignment? how's the stretch on the 255 over the 9.5? think you could fit more? how's inner clearance?

i was thinking about doing the 8.5's with 255's because i wasn't sure... there just doesn't seem to be that much room. goal is about -2.5/3 up front and -2 in back. if i can fit the 9.5+40's, then i'll do that instead of the 8.5+45's. thanks :cheers:
