ICBC Insurance Rates

Does anybody know what the base 1 year insurance price is on a 2013 brz with comprehensive for ICBC? I can't seem to find it anywhere, I'm 17 so I have a 10% discount so not much and its probably gonna be a fairly big chunk of money and I'd like to know how much to save, thanks!

Welcome to the forum, there, levicook123 -

I suggest you call two or three local agents and get estimates from them.

There are just too many variables to give a general estimate.

Thanks, i'll do that, just in my experience they tend to be standoffish and not want to give me a real number

Well, I figure if they want your present or future business, they will give you an estimate. The ones that won't take the time or trouble, you don't want as your insurance agent anyway.

It is in BC, not sure about other provinces, but it is a really bad system cause its super overpriced and they keep raising the price, i've heard there's a 10% across the board price hike in september, but 20% for learners and new drivers, the ones that can't afford more expensive insurance

You can always join a train robbery gang. Do they still do that? Maybe head down to California and look for gold.

College bound - good plan!

Now, while your busy studying, you really don't need a car. Get a bicycle, take public transportation. If you want to go home for the holidays, take the bus. Want to go on a date, borrow your roommate's car or drive her car.

Got it?

Pa-pa humfrz has spoke.

with 2mil liability, 600 collision, 300 comp and a 43% discount with roadstar, my rate is about 2,200 CAD. It would be best you visit a centre and ask.

looks like it is a good time to plan on how to leave the area.
