*SSP looking for a donor car near Minnesota*

UPDATE: *Tester found/parts developed and released*

Please see the post below from Kris at SSP regarding their need for an FRS/BRZ donor car with an automatic transmission:

My name is Kris Gagnon. I’m the owner and founder of South Side Performance. We specialize in the manufacturing, repair, and service of Dual Clutch Transmissions. We have two locations in the US to meet the needs of our customers and vendors worldwide. Our manufacturing and main distribution facility is located in Minnesota, and we also have a full service, parts, installation, tuning, and fabrication facility centrally located in the great state of Texas. As one of the largest aftermarket companies specializing in Dual Clutch Transmissions for Nissan, Mitsubishi, VW, Audi, and BMW in the world, we aim to offer the highest level of performance and customer service in the industry today.

South Side Performance is owned and operated by true motorsports enthusiasts. Our staff of 7 full time employees are highly trained and experienced in all facets of automotive service, and race car preparation. From our in-house fabrication specialists, highly qualified sales associates, and certified tuners, we truly love what we do for a living, and are happy to serve our customers each and every day.

Our customer service and tuning ability are well documented, and highly regarded throughout the industry. We are extremely active on several car forums, and are more than happy to share our knowledge and experience with just about anyone. We feel that helping the community is our way of giving back to the customers and vendors that have supported us for so long.
We have a long history of racing and product development experience, and much of what we learn on the track is directly transferred over to future parts development and eventually to our customer’s street cars. This is what sets South Side Performance apart from our competition that merely sells and installs parts.

Specializing in Dual Clutch Transmissions allows us to concentrate on a select line of vehicles, and a select line of parts. Producing high quality transmission parts each day is no easy task I assure you, but over the years, South Side Performance has essentially assembled a “Dream-Team” of employees and support staff to make this happen each and every day. We at South Side Performance strive to offer our customers the highest level of customer service and support available in the industry today.

We are looking for the use of a FRS or BRZ to develop aftermarket parts for. All of the aftermarket parts developed would be yours free of charge, along with all the labor to install these parts. Your vehicle would be fully insured during its stay at our facility.

We are centrally located in Houston, Texas. [But they also have a shop in Hills, Minnesota]

Please email or phone me directly if you are interested.

Even if you are in a nearby neighboring state, Kris is willing to come pick up your car in a covered trailer...

Yep. The work they want to do is a bit more then I'm interested in for my car. I let them know if they had some more minor mods they wanted to try to let me know.

These guys know what they're doing. They are definitely one of the top DCT automatic transmission specialists. From what I have seen from their products and the reviews they get on other forums, it will be interesting to see what they can do with the ft86 auto transmission (even though it's not a dct).

If only they made kits for the tC. :(

Where did that post originally come from? A thread on this forum or on a different forum?

I believe it originated here. Could be wrong but I saw it in here the day it was posted.
Perhaps a mod moved it, but again, I do believe it originated here.

I wonder if they got what they were looking for. I forgot about this...

No news here Kris sent a mesaage last week, Thursday he already shipped the tranny to Denver.

Follow up

Well i have spoke with them and no real signs of the car being initiated this week. Seems that there are some return fuel line fittings that didnt came along with the rails and need them to get the return line in correctly.

On the other hand i heard that theyll have [the radiator would be in by the end of this week]:sigh:

In my head this week suspense after another week is seems endless. The car has been built since March. Obviously patience has been a professor to me.

SSP has been great and appreciate his blessings on his stuff and I hope my willingness for donating the tranny to a great guy I never had met; gave a chance to be on top of the game Hoping in a good outcome for all.

Whats on your mind people about this?
