Yep, funny how that can change.

1948 Chev - stored on my parents farm - parents sold farm - gave car to my cousin ( I had for 15 years).

1970 MGB - rusted in half while in storage ( I had for 24 years).

1956 Ford step-side pickup truck - relocated from MO to WA - new company wouldn't pay for moving it - sold to a friend - had the truck for 19 years.

I get a kick out of some folks that say they are going to keep a car "forever" :iono:

I was keeping my 68 DeVille forever... until my Dad sold me his 67 F-250, which I was going to keep forever. Well, until I get it running now. I can't wait for it to be gone.

Yep. I chuckle when the teens or eary 20s guys here say they will keep the car "forever". They have no idea how long that is in real life. Most of the stuff that I was going to keep forever when I was a teen is either dust or a vague memory by now. Life changes plans and one day you wake up feeling 20 and 40 years have actually gone by since you were. The things that were so valuable to you then really just are not anymore.

Well, I have one car I've owned now for 32 years. That is close to forever?

For a lot of unfortunate people it is.

That is the exception not the rule.

I had a Ford Bronco, year ??, 351 auto, it was a beast, cost me a fortune to buy because "Australia tax", the chassis and body ended up falling apart from rust.

It went from good to a parts car in about 2 years.

That was an expensive experience.

Brilliant tow car though, the thing sounded like war when yuou were on it to.

In the end I swapped it for a AW11.

Low key for Los Angeles. This is where people buy a 911 in a neutral color if they don't want to stand out.

Basically if one owns a M3/M4 in Southern California, it's "just another car"

That's the car culture here in a nutshell.

The humfrz bros have great taste in cars!

I once owned a B-GT. Wires, OD, drove it for almost a year but decided not to ship it to my new home. Liked the low-end torque and engine sound, didn't like the seats or brakes. Glad to sell it right after the throttle return spring broke at WOT going about 80 approaching a turn. Didn't crash, shat my pants though. It looked like this one:

Cool, My mom had one. The starter was bad, and she'd have to rock it to get it started but weighed like 100 lbs. After the last time it happened when my dad was away on cruise (in the navy) she convinced him to replace it with a new Chevy Monza so she wouldn't get stranded anymore.

If I find it again, I'll try to buy it.

@yurikaze, your Mom could have been a Bond girl opposite Sean Connery.

Interesting color GT, don't recall seeing one like it.
