I'll probably daily my tS for another two years, then retire it to weekend/track use. I want something comfy, fast, and low-key for my next daily, so probably a new M3, Porsche, RS5, AMG, or most likely a lowered All-road, since I really want a wagon. Ideally an RS4 Avant would be my pick but we don't get them in the US. My wife picked up a new Q5 a couple months ago, and every time I ride in it, I'm reminded how nice it is compared to my tS.
I must be getting old, because after dailying a car with a big GT-wing, I want to fly under the radar in comfort.
That being said, I bought the tS with the intention of keeping it forever, and that is still my plan.

Yeah, I've definitely been eyeing both the V60 and V90 wagons in non Cross-country guise. They're both fantastic looking cars.

I (and many others) often refer to the structural components of unibody cars as the "frame". Technically not correct terminology but the function is the same.

Your idea of "low key" is way off mine.

Okay. But like I said, it was a religious argument. We were agnostic, but we had both brands in the family, so we were still keenly aware of the proselytizing.

Yep, same here. My younger brother had a TR, which was faster than my MG, but not as fast as my Miata - :D

They detuned the stock TR6 for the US market and crippled it. We never dynoed mine, but it was built out so that it should have been putting out at least 180 HP. I'm ashamed to say I used to race Fox body 5.0L Mustangs from red light to red light on the Parkway, but that was hilarious because I would outrun a stock one every time. It would bark the tires going into third gear.

My dad's MGB couldn't touch it on a straight road, but he would have outrun me any day on a curvy one. It outclassed the TR6 in handling even after I rebuilt the entire suspension with poly bushings. The TR guys thought the MGB was slow. The MGB guys thought the TR was sloppy.

True, my buddy has a white GT3 and no one even notices him here in Silicon Valley.
