Damage from car lift?

3 Attachment(s)
So I took my 2013 FRS into the dealership yesterday to get it fixed for a recall issue. When i got it home, i noticed this...looks like some sort of misalignment with the lift arms? I'm taking it back in tomorrow...What do y'all think?

Too bad you didn't notice it before you drove away. Might be hard to prove it happened at the dealership. Good luck!

personally if my 86 got that sort of damage I would just cover it up with some side skirt as I hate dealing with these sort of issues with dealers..

Had another of these recently:

Maybe they swung the arm over and hit it but that came straight from the side not from below. you can tell because the bend in the bottom crease goes down not up. Had some force to it as well since it isn't easy to bend a rocker like that especaly that cose to the curve.

Yep that is the damage I would expect to see from a lift. Not a nice round (well oval I guess) indent.

Well, that's too damn bad - :mad0259:

Seeing that's in the dimpled region, it looks like a PDR person followed by some touch up paint could make it disappear.

Good eye. It does look like something slammed it from the side.

Update: I took it back to the dealership today and they called and said they would take care of the damage. I'll post picks when i get it back.

Agreed. Sucks either way but it's not from lifting it.

Lazy mechanics likely don't lower the lift arms all the way, just past the locks (assuming they don't disable them). Then kick them under/into the car.. oops.
