Twinscroll GTX3576 vs Single GTX3071

Hi!

I am bulding a 5-600whp track GT86 with a fully built Element Tuning engine.

The goal is very fast response time from 4.000, but enough juice for maxing out 9000 RPM with the Element Engine.

My guess is that the GTX3071 GEN 2 is awesome and responsive with single scroll, but might stall after a while. This is not a drag car.

The GTX3576 is larger, but response time is slower hence I'd go twin scroll.

Anyone tried the above version?

I also could not find any T3 or T4 twin scroll kit for the GT86. Can you link some please?

Thanks!

Contact JDL and they can get the kit you need. Also look at Garrets G series if you dont mind the extra coin to get one.

What compression ratio is this engine going to have? If stock or close to stock, the 3071 gen 2 should be perfectly fine for 600whp, but might not completely spool up by 4000. The new G25-660 would also do 600whp with faster response and earlier spool, so definitely give that a look. The 3576 is too large for this engine, in my opinion, and unnecessary since this would be a track car and not a drag car.

3575 would be to large unless somehow the twin scroll puts it back in the efficiency range on the map

10.5:1 possibly since we do not have E85
Thanks for the info bout the 35! Yes it is large, but never seen anyone usong it on this platform with twin scroll so that is why I am curious!

On evos some forums mention only 2-300 rpm spool difference to the 3071, so my guess was with twin scroll the spool might be the samw with larger power. Am I missing something?

While it could be possible that the 3576 would spool just as well, there also doesn't appear to be a need for the larger turbo if the 3071 (or G25-660) would achieve what you need. The larger twin scroll turbo would also take up more space and generate more heat, which is quite a concern for a track car because surrounding things can start melting or heat-soaking.

I see!

I love the g25-660 but I found zero examples. I am afraid that might have a bad top end though at 8-9000 rpm
