Oil temperature reading through OBD2

Hi, im new here , and a new owner toyota gt86 2012 supercharged.
First thing im trying to found out is why i cant read my oil temperature temps.
I got a BlueDriver OBD matching with their own app , i can see alot of options , but no oil temps.
I tried connecting through Dash command but it dosent work with my OBD sensor.
I tried with Torque app , it does connect but again blocking the oil temp option.
I really consider buying a p3 gauge, so I emailed them about my problem and they told me they are not aware of any problem similar to mine in this model, and it should work fine.

So what are you guys saying ? Do you think it will work fine ? Maybe it something about my tuning after forced injection my car by the previous owner?

Thanks guys .

Oil temperature reading through OBD2

Have you tried:
Header: 7E0
Mode: 21
PID: 01
Formula: AC-40

Edit: Forgot to add the formula

Torque works to read oil temp but you need to add the parameter id pid and scaling

See second post in this thread

Also having a V1.5 blutooth adapter seems to work better than v2.0

Of you running forced induction on fhese cars you rearly need and oil cooler for any type of spirited driving especially in aarm weather. And 5w30 oil or similar.

Good day folks.

I just added a header Gruppes with an OFT(stage2) & now on my TQ app the oil temp
is no longer displaying. Can I get it back?

So I asked the OpenFlash guys & I received this, which I understand what they mean
but not quite sure if I can do something about it?

"Your TQ app shouldn't be useless. If you're using our v4 tune files, you may not have the same channel/data availability that you had before - and the TQ app is recognizing that fact.
Not all software (calibration codes) support the exact same datalogging channels."

So, the OEM tune is on one channel & OFT has "displaced" it to another.
How do I find that channel(PID?).
Can I edit the TQ app as stated in the above link with proper PID?

So, maybe your wondering WTF would I care about that when I can get it on the OFT?
Fair question, I just like a smaller phone as opposed to the OFT.
Car is NA, only UEL Header, tune, ST coilovers, drop in K&N filter.
HPDE with autoX but I ain't no track rat, just to enjoy the car.

Tks.

I don't think the OFT tune displaced it, it was probably moved in newer revisions of the OEM tune and since the v4 tunes use newer OEM calibrations as the base map it'll be affected too.

you have to search oil temp PID for A01G euro, now this is your tune since OTS tunes are all calid hacked to euro tunes

Tks Wparson but it was working 7days before I put my tune on{a week ago} if that's what your implying?

Tom, tks, but I don' really understand this, I would need to be spoon fed, unfortunately.

Best I leave this alone, Need to google more, maybe I'll have better questions?
