JRSC vs HKS v3 SC
What are people thoughts on the different kits? They are both around the same price, but it looks like the HKS kit uses the stock intake/MAF? Just curious on people's thoughts on the different kits. Any advice would be appreciated! Pre-mapped tunes included are convienent and a definite selling point, but the JRSC doesn't seem to have one for the 2017 BRZ? Thanks in advance!

The HKS has no way of measuring charge temperature.

JR has been tried and tested with outstanding customer service. Only thing you hear about hks is there superchargers failing, with no customer service leaving owners stranded

Thanks for the responses. I decided on the JRSC, due to the above issues and the pre-tune won't work with my 2017. Thanks!

slightly off topic, does anyone knows if Jackson Racing finally issue the CARB tune for 2017 model 86?

I have jrsc c30, love it, so simple, so powerful. Near maintenance free, tents to eat a little of its oil tho so check it doesn't get low

You could also get a pipe fab'ed up with a hole for the maf, post intercooler & have the OEM mad location hole blocked off. Thoughts?

The HKS charge pipe has an added feature (boss) where you can make a threaded hole and add an IAT sensor for the compressed air:

How difficult is it to use the 2nd IAT sensor with E.G. ECUTek? Would it have to be spliced in to the wiring for the MAF (which houses the factory IAT, IIRC), or is there some way to connect it separately?

it s very easy to put an external IAT in the charge pipe and to scale it on tune.
