Valve Spring Recall performed on Long Island, NY
 

Curious if anyone has had their valve spring recall performed by a Subaru dealership on Long Island. A little hesitant to take it anywhere after some of the horror stories...and at 90k might not be worth it. Thanks,

just thinking out loud here, if your seriously uneasy about your current valve springs, and also uneasy about bringing it to toyota, is it plausable to bring it to a real deal tune shop you trust and pay for them to perform the work? yeah ud have to pay, but it might be worth it so you can rest easy.

Yeah that’s always an option, but if there’s a dealer here where someone has had no issues after the recall was performed, why not just use the same dealer?

There’s a few well reviewed dealerships in the area, so I plan to go and check them out. I’m sure the issues with the recall seem a bit inflated as people are more likely to post negative reviews, rather than positive.
