Or maybe this is more realistic. Note the corporate resemblance to the Surpa DRLs as well as the black lower aero, which would likely be optional. The rear quarter window with the black band follows current trends. Rear bumper might need to protrude a bit more for safety.

Hmm. By removing the huge side vent, enlarging the side mirror a bit and taking out the hood vent, it looks like an all Toyota take or the lovechild of a Supra and a Camry. If only it had a Camry dash...

That is because the guy sitting at his home computer making it up used all the current Toyota ques. Not surprising that It looks like the Supra since they probably used the FT1 concept as a base. The side vents made more sense when they originally used the same render back last year to say it was the MR2 that was "announced".

That's because automedia AKA moto 1 is lazy with renderings and bases them off nothing, the rendering OP posted is from May :lol: :

They literally just have graphic designers on hand for the site that are good with photoshop and they give them the task of rendering cars. It's not even based off any performance facts posted by anyone about the future cars, it's just used as a clickbaity photo for them to post there watermark on....

Yep. And they are not even good at mixing things up. Here is the MR2 render. Notice it is the same basic body with some different details tacked on.

I never said the photo was hot off the press and I wasn't trying to be the first to anything. Just having fun removing the obviously non doable things from the Motor1 photo and thinking how much it actually did reflect the current Toyotas, looks wise. Wouldn't it be funny if the next twins did look like that. The proportions do seem to be correct.

I could have done the same with the FT1 (which at least was designed by Toyota) and come up with a very close, albeit stretched version of the new Supra 2.5 years ago!

Apparently they like using the Toyota CHR nose as the visual baseline for these future Toyota sports cars.
