I think it would be funny to show up to this event in your own FR-S.

I totally would but I will be out of town on the 4th. Stupid Scion Marketing planners.

Want my brother to go to this so badly, but he's in Oklahoma. Anyone know if this is happening in OK too or has it already happened?

I guess I would have considered showing up to this if I was hesitant or on the fence with purchasing an FR-S...

Perfect opportunity for one to understand the car and experience a thorough test-drive in it, I suppose. :)

Well that's what I'll be doing... I received an e-mail a while back about this and signed up for it (Houston event) - want to see how different the automatic is.

It's probably going to be a painful experience......

Hope some folks go and report back on the health of these cars - how they are doing after spending a few months getting thrashed constantly. I think they are trailered so all the miles are track miles. Post the mileage of the cars and how the engine / transmission is holding up. I'm sure they are replacing brake pads and tires regularly.

I'm gonna find one of the 6MT's and dump the clutch in 1st and do lots of donuts, I'll report back with engine status :) :burnrubber:

Here's my first post after lurking around for a little over a year. When I went out on Sunday they had four of the cars out there, but only one was driving because they took the others for fuel. The one I was in was the raven and it had 1333 miles on it at 2 PM. I have to say that the ar was driving, shifting, an braking perfectly. I spoke to one of the scion guys out there and he said all four cars had a little over 1K miles each.

After this event and test driving an FR-S on the street I am impatiently waiting for mine to get here. This car reminds me so much of my old FC RX7 I used to have.

I invited several friends to join the houston event this saturday. I myself will be there around 2-4 pm. There will also be a surprise guest who was a formula drift pro-driver since 2004 as well as drift showoff houston 2005 & 2007 champion. Look forward to seein' some 'tire-killin' !*
