door ajar warning light
Hi guy's I am having a problem with my 2016 scion-frs. Something is draining my battery. I think it is the door ajar warning light. It is on all the time. I bought this pre-owned so I am not totally familiar with the car yet. But I am quite sure that this light is not supposed to on 24-7. It is something a dealership will have to fix im assuming..any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I have a 2013 and it doesn't have that feature.) If it's ON all the time, maybe the sensor in the door is stuck - :iono: Anyway, I doubt that is what's draining your battery. I'd suggest you have the battery "load tested" and the alternator tested. humfrz |
It would appear you are not alone

Check the switches in the doors and trunk lid.

Just bought it? Take it back to where you purchased it.
Under warranty or just out? Take it to the dealer the will at times fix things just out of warranty. Nether apply? Take lamp out so you don't drain the battery before you get it fixed. |
Battery dead. New battery. The door ajar light would not go out. Sprayed teflon lube in door latches------all good now. It was the passenger door, that doesn't get any use.
|
Latches? The door state switch is that button in the frame. Window indexing and warning light are both functions of that input. State switch for the trunk is in the latch.

I sprayed the doors and the trunk latches, must have been the trunk switch?
