FDR State Park meet
 

This is the official thread for the FT-86club.com FDR State Park meet (needed something fancy here ;)).

When: August 25th, 11:00AM - 2:00PM

Where:FDR State Park.
2957 Crompond Road Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
Parking Lot 3e is what we'll be aiming for. If it's packed, we'll move to 2e or 5e etc. Here's a map of the park, in PDF form.

The park can be accessed directly from the Taconic Parkway as it has it's own exit.

Note, there is an $8 fee to enter the park per vehicle.

Please, keep in mind, this is a public park and we will be sharing the lot with others who also want to enjoy the area. Please be courteous to everyone. No burnouts, loud music, alcohol, etc... I'd like to be able to hold future events here! :)

Drive Before Hand
There will be a meet a couple hours earlier so we can go for a cruise before heading to the park. It'll be at:

The gas station is on the traffic circle. Looking to meet there around 8:45am and leaving by 9:15.

I hope many of you can make it out! As of now, it looks like it'll be a good relaxing time with 86 members! :thumbsup:

Sucks the trunk can fit 4 tires but probably not my bbq grill. Would be kick ass if we could do an afternoon grill session. Anyone know if there are grills there? Its been a while since I've been there.

While I haven't been there before, iirc, there's a meet there every Wednesday night where hundreds of all types of cars come out. I'm not sure if there is grills, but I'll ask someone who has been there before.

I was looking at a date of the 18th or 25th for the meet. How do you guys feel about that?

Another thing to consider, would be a meet at FDR state park. I know you can grill there, since I was there for the 8th Civic meet last month.

Crap 18th I'll be doing my first road trip in this car to watch moto gp @ indy. 25th I got a baby shower to attend.

Nice Moto GP! Wish I was going.

Maybe we should meet outside of a park go for a drive then hit the park. Or make the drive optional?
